Capitalism is a Synonym for Freedom – Socialism is for Insects, not People
On October, 17th, 2018, someone at Teen Vogue dropped a tweet which stated, “Can’t #endpoverty without ending capitalism!” This elicited a response from a multitude of Conservatives including one our favorites here at Proto Criteria, Liz Wheeler of One America News.
Now here’s the thing – while we wholehearted agree with everything Liz is saying, we wish that she would have approached this in a different way. We, as “conservatives”, should stop trying to defend Capitalism as though it were an actual Economic System. Engaging in a defense of Capitalism is what we call, in the Arena of Debate, defending a Straw Man. You see, there is no such thing as Capitalism, there is only Freedom.
No Idea is more Valid than its Premise, if the Premise is Bogus the Idea is Bogus.
When we take up the Mantle of trying to defend Capitalism, we accept a bogus premise put forth by Socialists’ that the World is perilously divided between two battling Economic Philosophies: Communism/Socialism and Capitalism, and that Communism/Socialism is merely offering an alternative set of Solutions to the “problems” inherent with Capitalism. This, however, is a False Premise; it’s utterly Bogus and thoroughly Deceptive.
The World is NOT divided into two Economic Philosophies – the World is divided between Free Nations and Dictatorships. There is either Freedom or there is not Freedom. “Capitalism” exists because Freedom exists. Capitalism is the product of Freedom, not the other way around. When you have Freedom you get Capitalism. When you don’t have Freedom, you don’t get Capitalism. Capitalism is contingent upon Freedom.
If the tweet from Teen Vogue were being honest, it would have read, “Can’t #endpoverty without ending Freedom”. What the people at Teen Vogue are really advocating is the eradication of Real Freedom to end Poverty. They are Advocates of Totalitarianism (Hivism).
Therefore, never get sucked into defending Capitalism without mentioning the fact that Capitalism is actually Freedom. Also, never let a Leftist present Communism/Socialism as an “alternative” to “capitalism” without pointing out that Communism/Socialism is actually Totalitarianism.
Communism/Socialism as an economic system is patterned after Insect colonies; it is not Freedom and it is not for Humans.
Under a Hivist System of Government such as Socialism or Fascism:
- All Capital and Property is controlled or owned by the State.
- All Economic Commerce and Consumption is planned and controlled by the State.
- All Human Sustenance, such as Food, Shelter, Clothing, and Healthcare is provided by the State.
- The Goal of Education is to Promulgate a Culture of Dependency.
- All Communication Media are produced or controlled by the State and limited by Political Correctness.
- Society is organized like an Insect Colony being divided into First and Second-Class Citizens (Leaders and Workers).
In a Free Society:
- All Citizens have the Right to Own, Buy, Sell, and Leverage personal Property and Capital.
- All Economic Commerce and Consumption is determined by Supply and Demand.
- The acquisition of Food, Shelter, Clothing, and Healthcare is a direct function of the intensity of an Individual’s ingenuity, determination, and perseverance.
- The Goal of Education is to Promulgate a Culture of Self-Reliance.
- All Communication Media are Privately owned Enterprises and Endeavors exercising the Freedom of Speech.
- Everyone is Free to Pursue an increase of their Wealth and Status in the Community
