The Betsy Ross Flag versus the Stars and Bars of the Confederacy
Do not confuse the Betsy Ross Flag with the Stars and Bars of the Confederacy. Since half the US population is below Median Intelligence with regard to the other half, as I pointed out in my first post concerning the Betsy Ross Flag, it is entirely possible that they would confuse the two. To call the Betsy Ross Flag a Symbol of Racism or Slavery is undeniably Ignorant, but to call the Stars and Bars of the Confederacy such things is understandable.
The Betsy Ross Flag was the Symbol of a New Nation founded on the Pursuit of Freedom and the Unalienable Rights of All Mankind, while the Stars and Bars of the Confederacy was the Flag of the Slave States after they seceded from that Nation in an attempt to Suppress the Unalienable Rights of All Mankind.
Perhaps, ignorant people can’t tell the difference.
FYI:
The Stars and Bars of the Confederacy existed in 4 different versions from 1861 to 1863: 7 stars, 9 stars, 11 stars, and finally, 13 stars. In 1863, the Confederacy switched to a completely different design (one with a 13 starred saltire), precisely, because the Stars and Bars resembled the Union Flag.
The states represented by the stars on the Stars and Bars are NOT the same states represented by the stars on the Betsy Ross Flag.
During the Civil War, the Union Flag had 33, 34, and finally 35 stars.
