“No one calls for justice; no one pleads a case with integrity. They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.” Isaiah 59:4 NIV

“There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Romans 3:11-18 NIV

“So justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We look for light, but all is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in deep shadows.” Isaiah 59:9 NIV

“How long will you forget us, O Lord? How long will You hide Your face from us? How many days must we wrestle with our thoughts and have sorrow in our hearts? How long will our enemies triumph over us? Look upon us, O Lord our God, and give us an answer. Restore the Light to our eyes and save us from Death before our enemies can claim victory and our foes rejoice at our collapse.” Psalm 13:2-4
