display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"1170\" height=\"659\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tvwHsRTPpNA?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>A Rebuttal of Pete Buttigeig&#8217;s take on Freedom<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Buttigeig&#8217;s comments from the video are in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>italic blue<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 The Rebuttal is in <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>bold red<\/strong><\/span>.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>I don\u2019t think we need different values.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>I believe in the values of this party, that\u2019s why I\u2019m doing this.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>It\u2019s one of the reasons you always hear the word \u2018freedom\u2019 on my lips.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>We\u2019ve allowed our conservative friends to get a monopoly on the idea of freedom.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Now, they care about freedom, but they care about a very specific kind of freedom: freedom from.\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Not true.\u00a0 We care about the Security of the Unalienable Rights of Mankind and we take issue with any idea or movement that would threaten them.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Freedom from regulation, as though government were the only thing that could make us unfree. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Not from Regulations that Secure the Unalienable Rights of Mankind, particularly the Right to Life beginning at Conception.\u00a0 The only Regulations that should be written are those which lead to the Security of the Unalienable Rights of Mankind; Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.\u00a0 Every Regulation must protect the Unalienable Rights of Mankind without violating the Unalienable Rights of Mankind. \u00a0<\/strong><em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>But that\u2019s not true, is it?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>We know that your neighbor can make you unfree. <\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Not legally.\u00a0 My neighbor can\u2019t legally confiscate my income and force me to pay for Programs of Dependency like the government can.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Your cable company can make you unfree. <\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Not if you don\u2019t have cable.\u00a0 A cable company can\u2019t take anything away from you without your consent, but the government can. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>If they\u2019re telling you who you ought to marry, your county clerk can make you unfree.\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Fail. The county clerk is a member of the government.\u00a0 First Buttigeig criticizes the idea that only the government can make us unfree then he cites an example of the government making us unfree to support his claim. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>You\u2019re not free if you\u2019re afraid to start a small business \u2018cause leaving your job would mean losing your healthcare. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Healthcare shouldn\u2019t be tied to your employer or the government precisely for such a reason.\u00a0 It should be something you\u2019re able to purchase on your own, outside of the government and outside of your employer, if and when you want it, and whenever you have the income to do so.\u00a0 Your neighbors shouldn\u2019t be forced to pay for your healthcare, and you shouldn\u2019t be forced to pay for your neighbor\u2019s; let Charity be voluntary.\u00a0 He\u2019s trying to make a case that people aren\u2019t Free if there are Consequences to their actions.\u00a0 Freedom does not equal No Consequences.\u00a0\u00a0 He\u2019s trying to make his audience think Universal Healthcare provided by the government will make them free, but he doesn\u2019t tell them that it will come at a great cost; that their incomes will be viciously raped and everything they\u2019ve worked for will be confiscated and redistributed to those who do nothing.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>You\u2019re not free if there is a veil of mistrust between you as a person of color and the officers who are sworn to keep you safe. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Buttigeig is simply pandering.\u00a0 \u201cTrust\u201d and \u201cMistrust\u201d are Emotions, and they are the result of an internal perspective, not an external fact.\u00a0\u00a0 He\u2019s implying that the solution to \u201cMistrust\u201d is external.\u00a0 For example, I wouldn\u2019t \u201ctrust\u201d a grizzly bear because I\u2019m intelligent and I know that he is a giant wild animal who is capable of killing me \u2013 but Buttigieg is suggesting that it\u2019s the bear\u2019s fault that I don\u2019t trust him: he\u2019s really implying that police officers shouldn\u2019t focus on crime in \u201ccommunities of color\u201d.\u00a0 By his logic, you\u2019re not free if there is a veil of mistrust between you as a white person and the gang members of color you see while driving through the PUBLIC STREETS of Compton.\u00a0\u00a0 In other words, Buttigeig\u2019s attempt to tie Freedom with Emotion this way is Intellectually Vapid.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>You\u2019re not free if your reproductive choices are being dictated by male politicians in Washington. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>No, rather, you\u2019re not Free if you don\u2019t have a Passionate Regard for the Sanctity of Human Life beginning at Conception.\u00a0 Without a Passionate Regard for the Sanctity of Human Life beginning at Conception, you don\u2019t have a Moral Compass.\u00a0 In fact, without the Unalienable Right to be Alive from the time of your Conception you don\u2019t have any Rights at all, Reproductive or otherwise. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>So don\u2019t let anybody tell you that the other side is the side that\u2019s got a handle on freedom. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Real Freedom is the Ability to do what is Just and embrace what is True. \u00a0\u00a0What prevents us from being able to do what is Just and embrace what is True?\u00a0 Opinions, Obligations, Regulations, and Dependencies based on Lies, Errors, and a Callous Disregard for the Sanctity of Human Life!\u00a0 These are the things which prevent us from being able to do what is Just and embrace what is True.\u00a0 The Democratic Party does not have a handle on Freedom whatsoever; if you\u2019re not a Proponent of the Unalienable Right to Life beginning at Conception, you\u2019re not a Proponent of Human Rights at all. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>We are the party of freedom, and we shouldn\u2019t be afraid to go out there and say it.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>There is no Real Freedom to be found in the policies and platform of the Democratic Party.\u00a0 Every \u201cSolution\u201d they propose results in a System of Pets and Slaves and serves to promulgate the existence of a Totalitarian State where human beings are divided into First and Second Class citizens.\u00a0\u00a0 They have no Respect for the Unalienable Rights of Mankind.\u00a0 Buttigieg\u2019s claim is Laughable at best and Horrifying at worst.\u00a0
